DAY 7 OF ISOLATION
I don't usually make resolutions, but after an especially lazy and bloated holiday season, I wanted to start 2020 off on a positive trajectory. It's been only two months and twenty two days into this new decade, but we've already entered an entirely new reality. I was on a much needed vacation in Tulum when the news broke that COVID-19 had officially become a pandemic, the NBA cancelled its season, and schools were beginning to transition to remote learning. I was with my brother and sisters-in-law, and when we attempted to have one nice meal without talking about the virus, we ended up sitting in silence, stewing in our own personal anxieties. My most immediate concern was that I was supposed to go back to work in NYC on Monday, March 16th, but doing so could expose me to the virus and endanger the lives of my parents. But the situation quickly escalated even further, so when I flew back to JFK a few days later, I took an Uber straight home and into isolation. With no time to prepare for this indefinite exile, I was incredibly thankful that I had my stash of superfood powders waiting for me.
I honestly can't tell you how I first discovered Your Super, only that the FaceBook algorithm must have flagged me as someone with an interest in healthy eating, but very little time. Kristel and Michael started Your Super after Michael was diagnosed with cancer in his early twenties, and Kristel started experimenting with superfoods in order to boost his immune system. While the Your Super website is now highlighting their Immunity Bundle, back in a simpler time of BC, Before Coronavirus, they were promoting their 5-Day Detox. I decided to spare my coworkers the excruciating pain of me without coffee, and decided to incorporate the Your Super mixes into my existing routine. Breakfast has always been a challenge, as I never know what to eat and end up paying too much for something that isn't all that healthy to begin with. I came up with a Berry Protein Smoothie that I have every morning, and I use the Skinny Protein, Forever Beautiful and Super Green powders. The Skinny Protein has 6 plant based proteins and are what makes the smoothie a satisfying meal replacement, I use Super Green for the extra nutrition and Forever Beautiful is packed with Vitamin C and anti-oxidants.

These are just my own personal recipes, and the Your Super website has a lot of suggestions for how their powders can be used, and smoothies are just one option. You can also use the link below if you want to receive 15% off your first order of $100 or more.
