The foundation for these pieces is reclaimed leather, pre-consumer scraps that are sourced from the domestic manufacturing of leather goods, leftover pieces that would otherwise end up as landfill. THE DESIGNER
Ashley Rabin is a Fashion Designer specializing in Women's Apparel & Accessories. Rabin studied at FIT and has 17+ years of industry experience working for NYC based brands. When she became aware of fashion's negative impacts on the environment, she conceived of Gilded Mane as a side project to see if it was possible to design better. Not only was her experiment successful, but has grown into a full collection of accessories. Rabin has a keen eye for color, which enables her to pair locally sourced materials into brand new designs that are exponentially more valuable than the sum of their parts.
